American Hanoverian Society Inspection on Oct 20, 2009

We had a wonderful day at AHS inspection at Creek Hollow Ranch in Ramona, California.  Wow, that was a lot of work to get Feiner Abend “Farrah’, her filly Singvogel “SongBird” and our 3 year old homebred mare, Fortunate Future, ready for the day.  They all looked GORGEOUS thanks to Maureen Frey, Tracy Ellis and Candy Regel.  I have the best friends in the world.  I was stressing to say the least.  We missed Site Champ by .17 of a point.  I know I may be a stage mom but I was quite surprised.  I guess I need to learn more on the breed direction.  Fortune looked amazing.  With her huge overstriding walk I did not understand a 7 but can not complain too much with four 8s, the rest 7s and two 7plusses.

SongBird truly strutted her stuff.  I knew she moved nicely but she really showed her best.  What a cutie!  I was accused of cloning Farrah by judges.  They do look amazingly alike.  But with Feiner Stern named one of the greatest Damsires ever, does that mean that his grandchildren should look like him.  If that is correct, I expected as much.

We are so excited about the arrival of Sinatra Song Filly out of our Feiner Stern mare!

Fortunate Future has first rides yesterday and today…wooohooo! Thank you, Chris Willson and Ann Burman.

Seiden Song named AHS Champion Filly at 10/13/08 inspection!

Feiner Abend “Farrah” MPT Under Saddle

Feiner Abend, “Farrah”, awarded Elite Candidate status!!!

What a busy week at On Q but well worth it.  Thanks to all my wonderful friends, sister and husband that acted as ground crew.  Could not have done it without.  Kudos to Candy Regel for the dedication and training.  Maurine Frey did beautifully riding and handling Farrah.  Elite status will be completed when Farrah produces a foal which is currently in utero by Sinatra Song, due June 2009.

Farrah in school, doing so well.

Getting ready for Mare Performance Test!

As October 13th approaches I am feeling so confident about Feiner Abend’s Mare Performance test coming up that day.  She has been working hard under diff trainer than previous who specialized in Hunters.  Farrah is not consistantly rounder and SOOOOO much fun to ride with a trot to die for.  And interestingly enough her OK walk is now a beautiful overreaching walk.  Don’t know what that is about other than she must be using her back differently with her more classical dressage training.  What AHS gave a 7, I would have given a 6 BUT NOW I would give her an 8 plus.  That was totally unexpected.  “Farrah” is currently 2.5 months pregnant but is eager to play in the chute.

Below is a video when first day through the jump chute in over a year.  More video soon.  Today we jumped her with X and 2 oxers but only to almost 3 feet .  She cleared everything, everytime with about 1 foot to spare.  Next week UP, UP, UP and wider oxers.
